Out of primal depth they climbed
Up hill from beasts, or was it down?
Resting a while at the gates of Eden;
First time knowing, right from wrong.

God arose in new consciousness
To guide them trough, what new was taught;
Their brains grew quick and ever large,
Of a sudden they realized, others exist.

That there was a tomorrow and yesterday
And what they sowed they would reap,
If you hit another, the other felt pain,
That more then you (and they) would pay a cost.

The story goes, they ate the apple
Disobeyed God, and learned to Sin
Now everyone lays their faults on the serpent
When they choose to do wrong, they blame on him,
Their casting out from Eden.

shame people have not learned throughout the centuries to be responsible for own actions mistakes are meant for growth and knowledg and wisdom   way of learning not a a way to hold back love or cast out  or lable as bad person, no one is without mistakes no one is perfect, yet no one seems to learn the differ nd the cycle goes on and on holding back growth and life nd acceptance   good one  thanks

One might believe that he and she
would have taught their children
better - to have recognized their
deception, and say, "for what I did,
this is who I am..."

And yet their first lesson was to
blame another...Yes.

Yes, Ice...much truth here.  You turned
it around very well...that any age might
understand.

Well done, Sir!

Ah, I have an entirely different view on the Eden story - but I shall keep most of that to myself - as what you say is the generally excepted rule - I think Eve knew what she was doing, and there were reasons for doing it, and she accepted the consequences - though the serpent did tempt her, it is not why she ate - and if she hadn't eaten, it would still be they two in the garden and the world would not be -

But you are soooo right about people shifting blame - it is all choices WE make - and it would be so good for children to be taught just that - for every action there is a reaction - call it karma if you will, what you sow, so shall you reap - I for one teach my daughter such as well as trying to teach her that kindness to all, no matter their state of mind and action, is what will bless her life with peace and joy - after all, we are all the same, we struggle with trials and want so badly to be loved and be happy -

Ah, off on a rant - sorry, but your work, it sparks consideration and that is good!

Enjoyed this my friend -
