Click defragment on these poems
you’d still be missing a peace,

on the mosaic of an early life,
many pieces never to be found.

You’ll not recover the deleted files
of love for never was there a password.

The mutual aid of numerous,
meaningless sexcapades curl

in rough edges, old polaroids
drained of color, lacking definition,

long flattered like pathetic glamour shots
of matrons in mourning to the loss of youth,

public beauty that never was, in any event
should not have been considered.

I race across the keyboard as though in flight
yet always look up at a frozen me

and I’m either tired of writing
about myself…or just tired.

A sick mind visualizes a tower
of old tires stacked over a Nigerian
caught away from his tribe….aflame,

a tongue spills through the tragic grimace
of the throat of a Colombian necktie
yanked by naked greed,

an imbecile in black boots
straddles the Mason-Dixon
killing with a few pen strokes.

I don’t want to die,
want (finally) permission
to live.

Someone slam a door

Poets against the war is redundant

Perfection.  The depths in this piece are so evident and your usage of imagery cuts to the bone.  I enjoy your poetry immensely.
If you ever publish, I will be the first to buy!!

Enjoyed this sir, very much.

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Your feelings
run deep...

Let me send you a new box
of pens,
a full score of yellow pads;
that you won't
ever have reason to quit

writing.

Wow.

I had to come back a re-read, then re-read again.. and yet again.  Your imagery and the way you've laid it out ... just .. WOW!

I must add this to my library.

When it is worth reading twice, or thrice,  you have to know today you did something right, right?  Today reading this might just cause some positive energy somewhere, let's hope anyway.  Excellent work Richard.
