I’m eating wonder bread
If only for a moment
which can feed a lifetime
In high altitude orbits
Drifting like, the only force that matters
Fibers of pink cover our faces
With a quality of life
Winking as we listen to afternoon
Finding ourselves in imagined conversation
Twilight typing memoirs
Roses in full bloom
Wearing white summer cloths
Tip toeing over anorexic mists
Hunching forward
Wanting more
In the world for you

There, look, the hills waiting
Calling your name in lights
I smiled, while you whizzed by
For a moment, forgetting where I was going
But loving where you reached
Loving watching you…
Which is what I’d rather do
Then climb into your boat

Like they say
“Every word considers, the next to come”

Oh, darling, if you only knew
How I love passing by our ancestral portraits
Every night when I think of you…
Pausing for a moment
Knowing the happy dining room
You now live in

Yes, I pace sometimes till dawn
But, you’ll never know, I’ll never let you…
You see, those polite lil emissaries
Keep sighs which breath softly…
We were never meant to be

Your happiness glows me….
And I promise, yours before mine
And I love you for it….your success
The flesh and beauty around your eyes
Holding close the precious flowers you gave me
The soft darkness and music of the night
A duet which glances behind
Yes, your power over me, sings inside me
Wishing you were here again….

God lives in all the invisible lines…doesn’t He?

Inspired by the Phantom of the Opera

I was sick that day

Fantastic lines, dear Lee.

I will have to see this movie as you have been so deeply inspired.

saw it on broadway
walked out; husband couldnt take the singing
anyhow,
i'd never walk out on one of your poems, too much for the senses to indulge in
