Another day is through
and I'm still looking at you,
looking at the door,
I opened long ago.
If only you could move
perhaps we'd both
go through it.

What are we
waiting for?
Close the door.

Another day
drains away
whatever joy
had remained.
Fixed, like water
your face transforms
my disappointment
into something darker
something foreign
to progress.

What are we
waiting for?
Break down
the open door.

Another day
begins anew.
Another day
we're hard to prove
a kind lie
is better
than a
cruel truth.

What are we
waiting for?

There is no door.

most often we create our own barriers and then sit on the sidelines brooding about it...keep up the good imagery...

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread.

Doorframes and empty space;
left to retrace
these places left paralyzed,
traumatized
by distance.
To follow you
and step through;
edging the forbidden.

Kind reprieve, binding;
holding breath
deep in your chest
too far from parted lips.

Only one answer to this...

just speak clearly
we're nearly there.
