If you hold back on what to write
your word usage isn't just right
don't expect the phrases to flow
don't expect your efforts to show...

You hold back on the creative time
to wait for an appropriate rhyme?!
The this and that don't breathe
stifled on their own
words forcefully stuck together
to rhyme, just to create a melody!
what of the jumble minus the parody...

An original purpose you had was missed
you withheld on what you wanted to say
I left out rhyme that was standard then
inspired by Ginsberg advise on how to pen..

Hello Martin,
I really like this.I have held off on certain words only to lose them before penning them.

:-)

Ps. going to print this and put above my desk.

Within this heart you'll find love

There's nothing to lose about writing on the method once in a while amid so much stuff the strokes the ego....and that's good too once in a while...

I agree. The flow of thoughts and the music can reach peaks of beauty without rhyme.  But this time you combined both successfully, because it's good to memorize...

Love, Margherita
