Seems you’d wish that we’d believe in witches
and simple minded signs of a divine,
would stifle when your needle super-stitches
those flimsy threads you dare to claim as signs.
Too few hands have seized too much the riches
and try to grease their greed into the minds
with all the foolish shpiel your TV pitches
in constant beams you hope would dope us blind,
content to be afraid that digging ditches
is what we’ll find if we dare undermine
and question all the overt bait and switches,
your threat is then to take your bottom line
to feudal fields were no one ever bitches
an outsourced, out of sorts is what we’ll find,
while there the poisoned lips who mutely twitches
will cry not that the ones he’s left behind
might sue some scratch from palms whose constant itches
snatches all the shiny geld it grinds
from needy’s toxic toil and the niches
you trust will never raise a voice or whine.
Medieval friend it’s here that the glitch is,
for Gutenberg pressed words in common bind.
Good luck in shoving camels where the stitch is
supposed to pass and with your noose of twine.

Poets against the war is redundant
