Is it a mask of resiliency
they wear, in consolation's
kiss, for bearing first hand
the atrocities woven upon
their colassal and all welcoming
shoulders,

or do they simply revel
in the diffusion of both
the glory and the sorrow,
never dancing with such passion
as when on the shaky foundation
between the two,

you hit me today;

with a bullet of unveiled illusions
that i had begged for months from you,

in the culmination of
self doubts and hopes i clung to,
today's emphatic message comes,
breaking the silence i was
finally able to elicit from you,

though another hardcore laceration
forms, it will bathe me first
in a dream of roses, before its
aftermath will sew for me, another
badge of honor to pin upon the memoirs
with yet another young man's sacred scar,

but along with the standing martyrs
with their stiffened hands in frozen air,
i won't go down so fast,
as i seem to always find
some swift redemption, even in
the clutches of such adversity,

as i never loved you so, as today,
when you finally delivered
your bullet of truth to me.

We're all stuck in our own muck and mire
but there are times, e're brief when there is fire,
but overall tis honesty admired
and that's a solo rarely heard from choirs

Dodging bullets might be the best way.
Just remember that old song and dance:
“Stayin’ Alive”
Whooo-Whooo-Whooo-Whooo…
Etc…etc…

Great write!!

Why do I always get a wonsa,

Who hasn't the guts to say goodbye
Or speak their mind
Or have any bloody idea
Of how to get out

As I read your words.

Beautiful!  Strong writing from a tender and resiliant heart....

Clutching,
in between the thorns,
finding the roses above.

You rose petal.....
