As I make an effort to write  my feelings from my heart
About you, my sweet love, I don't know where to start
There are so many emotions churning around inside of me
As I try to write them down  for you, my love, to see

Being apart as we are now makes it hard our love to show
We try proving through many ways, this true love, to each other know
The first thing I think of when in the morning I awake
At night when I close my eyes in dreams, images you and I make

Amazed am I of the emotions, thoughts of you make me feel
Though other loves have been and gone, none have ever been so real
This love we have found in each other travels across the miles
For each of us to feel, our love outweighs the trials

When we see each other face to face, as we did a few days past
So hard the effort we try to make each memory we share to last
The feel of your hands as you gently touch my face
The lines and shape of me, with fingertips, you lovingly trace

The looks we exchange as gazing into each others eyes
Seeing deep inside the other where our inner emotion lies
Etched into our memories when hours to each other we talk
Of our true love and the paths of this trail of life we walk

Our love would become special we knew from the moment we met
The chemistry exchanged between us was as strong as it could get
We met about this time of year, a few years ago, it's been
This love we share has grown each day, more and more since then

We have pledged to each other forever our hearts to give
To never part, to walk hand in hand,  for as long as we both shall live

I like it.

Sometimes the heat can burn it out but to temper the heat makes the feeling as strong as steel.

Your poem almost reads like a letter. So natural, tender, and free flowing. Yes, it reads like a beautiful beautiful letter of promised love and true devotion. I really enjoyed reading this poem and thank you for sharing it. -Bob
