Morning air
Pins up eyelids
Fresh manure
Waiting,
Like a plate full of warm hands

The waiter serves coffee
With palm trees around his neck
At a table for one
I sit staring out into the open chair
Taking me away

Tremble of love
Scent of green forests
Filter like your Africa hot summer
Scribbled all over my body
I was your drawing room
Sheepish but full of silent passion

Medium came to test us
We followed arrows to the top
Picasso catching us
Into the earth’s heart

Particles of words on the inside frame
Did I wear every woman’s face?
Glued to some abysses
Did darkness take all interest?
Where time sings good-byes

I remember those red sky mornings
Gossiping clouds slipping behind sun
Eyes of roses raised
But, oh did we have fun
Dancing in a whirl of green liquor
Loved to hear you laugh
Feel your smile
In those mornings of balloons & glue
Under your nails
Which sent chills to my soul
Stamping your letters
Return to sender
Simply because
Your smile was my chathedral

choosing to remember rather then ask questions
is my first task of the day...
I lean back in my chair and smile
feeling older...and liking it.

You have a talent
to express things
outside the norm.

This, is a very good thing.

If this was a song it would be number one for at least a year.
And always in the “Top-10.”

Enjoyed Lee J.

Lee

Your writing is changing fairly fast.

Seems almost as if you have found that peace.

I still caught echoes of sacrifice in the words but you are really moving into something that I like.
