The time has passed to preface this with introductory words. The end is quite a ways away, the middle quite absurd, but, I don't give an owls' hoot, a rats' butt, or, a darn, Ah'm a-gonna write this story, tell m'tale, and spin m'yarn. 'Twas way, way back in '99, as near as kin compute, that Ah did stumble on this place that's full o' Passions'fruit. Quite frankly they's incredible, not edible, yuh see, but, what Ah found unfathomable, was that they welcomed me! Now, Ah had travelled 'roun the globe, jest lookin' fer a home. A place Ah wouldn't get cussed at, fer a-writin' stupid poems. Now, 'magine my complete surprise, and, huge, enormous grin, when all them crazy Passion fruit said, "Hey Doc, c'mon in"! Well, that was 'bout six years ago, as near as Ah kin tell. They puts up with my nonsense, and, don't seem to mind the smell of what Ah write fer poetry, no matter how it stinks. God bless 'em all, them Passion fruits, they's looney's what Ah think! Yup, this here is my story, Ah done tried to keep it brief. Ah won't say thet Ah'm sorry, Ah didn't mean no one no grief. Ah jest wanted t'say thank yuh, from the bottom of my heart but, thought Ah'd like t'yank yuh 'round a bit right from the start, an' maybe through the middle, an' then once at the end, cuz, darn it, that's the way Ah treats them folks thet Ah call friends.
