Crushed underfoot
trampled and soiled
by the Tempter-
ruined enough that he thought
to forget her.

Deafened by the din of crowded footsteps,
she had joined the many
on a path wide enough
to take them
there.

She couldn’t hear Him softly,
persistently calling; her heart was
tied tight by her choice of direction.
Soft spoken and undemanding,
He waited.

With naught but a frightful finish ahead,
hope was not dead, but it was certainly
lost and uncared for.
Struggling, the waysides presented meager
support against the forward pull.

Unexpected silence snuck in
swirling standstill around her feet,
and then the sound her soul most longed for,
He called her by name.

She turned and followed.

Wow gal, this one speaks to me...
I feel its depth, see it's layers
and it is so very beautiful and done
perfectly.

So good to see you here again, I
miss your shine.  Hugs.

thank you lady, between work, and having to beg and borrow a laptop to access PIP, and my muse's stubborn resistance, it has been easier to stay away, but man oh man have I missed being here
