when you came
into my life that day
a smile upon
my face
found it's way
a smile
turned to laughter
then joy
to my heart
soon after
then along came
desire
with such
a burning
fire
something
i never felt before
as my heart
had locked it's door
and my soul did hide
very deep inside
as the fire
grew
along came passion
i never knew
then love
as from heaven above
my life changed
gave past a shove
now your gone
no more will i feel
joy,laughter, passion
desire or love that's real
again
my spirit's broken
my soul which was
once awoken
has taken my heart
and spirit deep inside
from all the pain
forever they'll hide
i'll keep
your memory
close to me
as pain and tears
remember
the love
that use to be

Darlin, been there felt that, and the only answer I can derive is this...although she didn't love you the way  you loved her, you've had the blessing of knowing true love...perhaps then, it wasn't the time, place or person, but by darn, you knew love...and in that, it will be refined forever, and if someday you are blessed with your twin...then you will love like that again, only better, perhaps more responsibly, more realistically, and less fantasy? For me it gave a whole new meaning to, "I'd rather have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all" ???  Yes...smiles and hugs
To me, that moment, however brief, was worth a lifetime....

But by God...you've known love, first hand, which is something a lot of people, have never known or felt.

Does that make sense.

By the way, I could tell by your poem, your joys, sorrows, feelings of loss are straight from the heart...tremendous write my friend.

thank you lee. i have alot of respect for you  thanks for your comforting words. i still have the strength to fly and move on,and maybe someday find one who truly loves me  instead of "love for you none for me" i believe my heart just wont let me go and grow away from what keeps the tears near. and yes it took many years to feel what real love feels like, maybe its just fear of past failure and pain that wont let me move forword or take a chance. or enjoy the new found love. well thanks again so much for all your replies and reading my thoughts

Ah, but that's the thing about our souls...they never hide...regroup is what they do. When you least expect it, they lift up our hearts and make our spirits shine. Honest.
Be well dear poet. Great write. hugs, Chris

Lee said it all, and said it quite well.  I'll defer to her comment, but thank you for the poetic efforts in revealing the tear stains.

A pouring-out of your soul.  Sad fact of living, yet happiness to have the ability to experience these heartfelt emotions.

Excellent write.

Hugs...hope for good things for you...so true that romantic love does not feel its fulfillment until love is given and received in equal measures...James
