Bold barking dogs
Filling an empty space
Black pearls & heroes
Imagine lean-to people
Sailing fan lists
Here and there
Of the vulnerable & untried

My own bloody pirates
Marauders, blowing holes in the ship
While puffing their horns
Of experience….

Big dumb sharks
Believing, they’re white knights
Of some savior’s weekend
Dancing like Harricrishnas

Knights in black satin
Playing the love machine
Owning little bubbles
In a tidal wave scene
Until they tire
Seeking a new buffet

Practicing their riches
In Emergency rooms
Justifying their bad habits
When yours begin to show
Manipulating situations
Like some born again hero
To the vulnerable child
In a woman’s body

I wander within the words
“He without sin cast the first stone”
How anyone can feed a flame
Without first, loving themselves

Lost between sheets
They’re place in the world
Feeding the male ego
Reeling in every female
Like Canadian mounted police
Each believing they’ve somehow done their best
Saving the poor damsel, in distress

WOW! This one hits all the markers.
Lee,  I'm saving this, to read again later, it has such vivid imagery and you punch each line out with such emotion and conviction.

Many thanks for your replies....it's always an education and perspective whilst sharing thoughts with others, although this poem displays the lack of confidence in men, a need to feed their egos at all costs, there are females out there with alike personalities.  I believe honesty, care for the hearts of others and old fashioned consideration & respect for others is becoming a lost culture?

sometimes i too feel men have and are destroying the world, but what has destroyd the most is lack of respect, and compassion for another human being
