Strip tease becomes a beach resort
Leaning over chamomile leaves sweet
Pulling at my lower lip
Startled looking eyes
Blinking rapidly
This way and that…
Holding a robin’s nest
Made of grass & twigs
Necessities
Close to naked body
Swinging
Boldly harmonic
While shampooing hair

Snow lights stick to a school path
Wearing a walkman
Doing cartwheels on the ground
Streetlights came on early this winter
Playing poker in the doorway
Winning twice this week
Gave the importance of sports
And my stuffed brown bear
A whole new meaning

Whitecaps and waves in my photograph
Tosses and turns in my sleep
A Fullback of expectations
Used to drive me work

Now I ride wild horses
Moving past all holes in the ground
I kept my sandbox from childhood
Walking across the street, all by myself

My stone box keeps on the bookcase
Standing there looking back
My throat still tightens in the cold
Then the feeling passes
Catching my first ever glimpse of nostalgia
Allowing it to caress my skin
Proudly wearing a candy strip uniform
Fleshy arms doing dinner –table impressions
By candle light and a warm interior
Sneaking a peek at melting puddles
With an opened mouth grin

Whatever it is, and however subtle
Something real lies in strip tease
Nuzzled up against my shoulder

Thanks for taking me along on your walk...

But you don't have to strip to tease me...A sensual mind, such as yours, exposes me ( by reading this poem) to a higher state of arousal than any dance might, ( emphasis on "might") and is far safer for the both of us....

Enjoyed

Hi and good morning

Many thanks to each of you, for reading and kind comments...but before this gets outsted to the mature content forum....this is about a gal who used to be very shy and quiet, afraid to be herself...afraid of verbal expression and articulation...then one day, she started blooming like a flower, and became like a bird out of a cage after 20 some years of a living prison...

the Strip Tease is her being her....

(Even without the explanation..
I understood where you were coming from)
You've got style and class lady~well done!

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
an invincible summer.

ah, this made me think of peeling memories and smiles to dance in the revel of their joy - then to read your explaination - how lovely - much enjoyed this - love your images and the sandbox -

LeeJ, I know that I say almost the same thing
every time that I reply to your poetry.....
but lady, you do have a way with words,
and paint a vivid picture of your thoughts with your words.
Hugs,
Ethel

Many of us have our closet that we need to
come out of....and this is no exception.
And you related all of it to us in your
Leej fashion that is so uniquely wonderful.
