Being alone without you,
makes me sit and wonder,
what life could have been with you,
My mind does ponder,

Thinking and wishing,
I had you back where you belong,
but now it is too late,
My life story inside a sad song,

You are with somebody new,
after all the good, the bad,
it really makes me sad,
to know we could have worked it out,

It is too late for days gone by,
too late to even cry,tears over you,
what made you walk away,
when I wanted you to stay,
here in these loving arms of mine,

It didn't help to tell you,
how much your love meant to me,
what you wanted, I couldn't give you,
how it hurt when you said those words,
words of goodbye,

As I stood watching you leave,
with a million tears in my eyes,
it is too late for days gone by,
too late for all those sad goodbyes,

What made you walk away,
when I needed you to stay,
and say our love will never die,

Somehow through all this pain,
I will learn to love again,
remember you as days go by,
Whenever I see a star sparkle,
across the bright blue sky,

you broke my heart,
walked away,
without a single tear in your eye,

Those were the days of days gone by....

I felt your pain and the angst in this, ARH~
Seems so easy for some, that the meaning of love is lost to me.
