I lack the art of pretty tears
My ravages of hurts and fears
Are canyons carved into my face
Which will not diminish for days.
To indulge weeping is not wise
Unless I'm not concerned with eyes
That puff and swell and turn so red
I should stay home, hiding in bed.
No makeup left, that's wiped away
Quite quickly on a sobbing day.
As for the care of dripping nose?
Whatever works is how it goes -
Still I would wish that each clearing
Could be made so less were hearing!
My lips tremble too much to speak
Making me seem spineless and weak.
Each time I cry, I am a wreck!
While parts of me below the neck
Manage to function, my poor head
Simply resembles walking dead.

well... I couldn't think of a stupid song to add to serenity's thread in the lounge... but stupid poems? That, I can do! LOL

Not stupid at all. Like the others say we all have days like that.

I cannot imagine you ever being a non-pretty sight! ~ even after a good crying jag which is actually good for our sense of well=being every once in a while! The endorphins that are released when we shed pent-up tears can actually make us feel "pretty" good!

Whether you are smiling or crying ~ you are always a beautiful sight to behold!

Warm hugs with much love,
Linda

Some hearts sing, and the song is beautiful. That's the only beauty that counts to me...as you know.

Ahem....I beg to differ, dear lady! Tears are a beautiful thing to a man....provided that he can dry them....otherwise maybe you're right....

I agree with jellybeans.
Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow.
cause you will be happy and laughing soon,
I'm sure of it.
