where ever the fly fishing is good

0 posted 2005-01-08 08:32 AM

AS I RESTED AGAINST A BOLDER
IN RHYTHMIC CAST OF TEN AND TWO
I SENT A TIGHT LOOP IN SILENCE
TO HTE EDDYING TIDES OF TIME
WITH GENTLE LANDINGS
AND PERFECT PRESENTATIONS
MY RHYTHMS WILL SOON SEDUCE-
A LIFE-
PAINTED IN GREEN, FALLING TO GOLD
DOUSED-
WITH SPOTS OF FIRE CIRCLED
IN BLACK
I SENT
A SHADOW CAST IN SEARCH OF YOU
WITH
TIPS AND LIPS SEETHINGLY, ARCHING
ATOP
THE BARRIER OF BLUE
AS A BREATH OF AIR BEGAN TO STIR
IT CARRIED WITH IT THE SCENTS
OF PINE AND HONEYSUCKLE
SOFTLY
I WISPERED, COME-
LAY IN MY CREEL
AND KNOW
HUGER NO MORE
NOR-WILL I-...

ah...pine and honeysuckle

sigh

Welcome to Passions. Glad you could join us.

if you don't mind me saying in kindness, one little thing I would suggest to you to make your work easier for the reader is to ditch the caps and use lower case lettering

again, welcome! I'm looking so forward to reading more of your works!

Welcome to Passions.
This is one of the most refreshing, sensual and best written poems I have read in quite some time.  I truly look forward to reading your works, and appreciate that you are sharing them here, with all of us.

Welcome to PiP!! Your love of fly fishing surely was the inspiration here. If you feel using the shift key is too much trouble, then by all means write in all lower case. Hope to read more from you.

Like the images painted...this seems to be one that would fit well with Gentle Spirit's Color Challenge...don't know if you intended such.

I especially love the ending...to know "hunger" no more. A wonderful hope to present.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Nice to see a fellow fisherman here...
I fish through the ice for the most part, but in the last few weeks the ice is unsafe...

"PAINTED IN GREEN, FALLING TO GOLD
DOUSED-
WITH SPOTS OF FIRE CIRCLED
IN BLACK"

I use a jig with those colors now, fishing for walleyes in open water..

enjoyed the poem

What a beautiful write this is. Being the hopeless
romantic that I am, I almost forgot that you were
writing about fishing. LOL

Welcome to Passions, William. I hope that you will
enjoy your time here at PIP.
