silver paints the winter sky
a  jeweled chill
sparkling diamonds
tinting lakes in its likeness
a mirror of cool, iciness

and I, watch from a warmth
of brown
cozy as a grizzly
or a joey at naptime-
a touch of mocha coating me

the contrast is breathtaking
the brisk chill of silver
the fuzzy warmth of brown
home amid the season’s chill
sheltered that I may enjoy its beauty

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

You painted a scene pretty enough to make me wish I were looking at it.

Virginia, I agree with the reply above...
you painted a beautiful picture in my mind's eye.

Love the colors and the mood they paint
