Times we knew others but always never ourselves

We told ourselves we cared but we knew only human passions

We took early emotion and lived by changing everything as it failed

Single straw it how we survived but we didn't survive

we treated live like jazz

Just playing the same tune when on fractions we play together

Most times we were just the band and the next gig

I think that sometimes “just being the band and gig” is a good thing.

Thanks.  It came out of talking to a guy who did the beer adverts on a sax and gave it up to eat as a Civil Servant and was straight back after the adverts earning pennies to just live blowing the horn.

LeeJ

Thanks Lee.

Thanks Marsha.

Yes.  It is good to keep the feet on the ground but I suppose I am taking a break from reaching for the sky in some ways.

I need to get back on track.
