On the edge of night’s crescendo
silent shadow voices sing
and beg the need in me
to dance beyond the mist
of past unhappiness.

Though every dreamer knows
who beats the drum of passion
and plucks the harp of heart
in the world of soul
the force of this reality
brings in visions of the sea
and entices me to dance
on the sea shore.

The singers sing, the music plays,
and I see myself moving
from the green, green, grass of home
to the ebb and flow of sea
and a future I can’t see.

But the nameless form entwined
in my tendrils of desire
joins voice with the shadows
and moves in me a need
no vision of sea and shore
can ever super cede
until by amazing grace
dreams simply disappear!

What a terrific poem you have penned.  I really enjoyed this stanza.

this speaks loudly of the individual destiny in change for each and everyone of us...and how we, by our own desires, are driven to successes and failers, reminding us, that we are more so blessed in the failers...which brings us success, sometimes beyond our wildest dreams....

Bravo Lady!
