It is lonely here
Between the folds of loving you
Gulping waves of charcoal colored days
That bid silence and my soul is sad
The waters well and spill
Forcing wretch of such emptiness
A pallid cry engulfed in endless echo
Floating me in colorless confusion
All I hoped but an illusion
Receded dreams to dry delusion

My belly to the cold ground
Face to soil not a sound
That I would fade to dust
Of endings only now to trust
Until the last that would devour me
It is your voice inside consoles to power me
Soft green forests of your heartland
Memory to lend a warm hand
Bringing upright to my day a fortnight
Just to breath your soothing scent
And sleep becomes my heart

I know that place

you are not alone
but I know how lonely it is
even though

Sad but so beautifully said.

Had to stop back for another read...I loved this for many reasons...although somewhat sad, there is hope and understanding and allowance realizing perhaps you are on the right path which is well designed for only you.  It also reminded me of the Phantom, singing his grief for Christina...and yet, allowing her to go and love...as she was meant to do...his gift was to know love, for the first time in his life...and the blessings of that love, even if, it were only the Music of the Night.

Outstanding write....

These are my favorite lines...
It is lonely here
Between the folds of loving you
Gulping waves of charcoal colored days
That bid silence and my soul is sad
                        The waters well and spill
                        Forcing wretch of such emptiness
A pallid cry engulfed in endless echo
                        Floating me in colorless confusion

The second stanza seems to have a turn around of feelings, but I'm not certain. I get a little confused.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
