Far from where I am going

It was a three piece band
pearl keys floated
among evening ears
a spunky snare
and serenading cymbals
all danced along a smooth kick
plucked acoustic bass
swirling in sulrty fashion
laying all stress to rest
could i have had
more of an eventful evening?
Riding a groove ship
into the paradise
of musical wonderland
jamming with everyone
enjoying the jazz
within my head.
perhaps
but the night
could never be more
enjoyable
