Namaste, translated from Sanskrit:

The divine in me
honors and blesses
the divine in you.
In truth,
we are One,
the I AM.
*********

In the quieter corners of being,
I dance a soul trance to welcome the new year.
Though Taj Mahal still shines brightly on clear nights,
even amidst the horrors of nature's frights,
I bow and dance to nature's majestic sights,
remembering years past when I danced
'neath a rainbow of brilliant northern lights.
And in dreams I sometimes dance
under fragrant cherry blossoms,
Mt. Fuji smiling at me as I bow
to the wisdom of the ancients,
bending knees in OM moment.

Namaste, namaste, namaste.

I dance 'neath solemn Jerusalem skies
underneath a quivering olive branch,
and pray to my version of God above,
please, give us another chance to dance
in honor of Peace, Love, Harmony,
to hold gently another's heartbeat
and tenderly embrace the meaning of Dove.
For your child is my child,
their dreams not so different,
to grow and perhaps dance someday
'neath cherry blossoms or olive trees,
or a rainbow of fantastic lights.

Namaste, namaste, namaste.

The Cascades burst forth in resplendent color,
mighty roaring rivers rumble and tumble,
echoing my feverish plea...oh God,
I beg of you on bended knee,
please give us another chance to dance
in Peace, Love, and Harmony.
And so again I dance a new year's trance,
'neath hidden stars in a sky that cries,
(the very skies once reflected in Vincent's bluest eyes)
the same stars that glow tonight from high to low,
from purple mountains majesty to Aussie azure seas.

Namaste, namaste, namaste.
Namaste, namaste, namaste.
Namaste, namaste, namaste.

I bow to the divine in You.

The longing for peace
Between nations
Between humans and nature
Between family members
Pulls at all of us.

Well done, Kacy.  An eternal plea, well phrased.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

In the Gita it says....

"The Lord dwells in the heart of all beings..."
(XVIII. 61)

This makes the greeting of great importance to the sayer and the receiver...

Many Quakers have picked up this thought and use it as a basis of their religion (bad descriptive word, but I'll use it for clarity)

You have demonstrated good use of the word here, Kacy, in love(ing)ly poetic phrases...

namaste_________ice/ford

(see, I can spell it right..lol)

I pronouce it nam-es-stay...is that the right way?

I didn't know that about the Quakers. Interesting. As for pronunciation? Guess it depends on the part of the world or country, as I've heard it naw-maw-stay, emphasis on maw , or  nawm-awstay, emphasis on nawm.
either way, it's a nice thing to say or hear. THANKS, and of course, namaste to you, Ford.
