The Sun’s But A Pale Star Next To Thy Eyes

I love much that the world has to bestow,
The green of spring, summer's laughter, and snow,
For there's naught but joy within all I see,
Yet 'tis beauty beloved that bringeth glee.

O' the velvety night doth tug at heart,
The weave of the planets seem works of art,
They spin upon their elliptical course,
Held in place by gravitational force.

Still the stars draped upon the ink-stained veil,
Seem merely fine jewels in some old wives' tale,
I gift thee the Pleaides to pin in hair,
They're diamonds birthed in a fire twice rare.

Let them glint and glow like new fallen snow,
Quickening my heart 'til from head to toe,
I'm lighted as if by a thousand spheres,
Then I’ll know beatitude through all the years.

The sun’s but a pale star next to thy eyes,
And love your eyes I’d sensationalize.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Kevin...these are some wonderful lines,
and I wish I had thought of them myself...

for indeed, the night sky is the soul sky....

Very beautiful but of course you always did
have that talent. One of many I might add.

What a lovely title - what a lovely, romantic thought - and your pen puts such lovely prettily to paper - well done
