Conversation climbed, hung on cliffs at times.
In those dangling moments, two minds intertwined.

The mountain slope got steeper and when she thought she’d fall,
He dropped a pun for her to grab and lifted up her soul.

As she reached the words she sought and put them into place,
It felt as if she’d dreamed a spot where lovers often grace.

A broadened smile beamed back at her there at mountain’s peak.
There was no more a need for words, no more a need to speak.

Jo, I absolutely love this write!
It flows beautifully, with ease and grace...
and what it says is perfect, too.
What a wonderful place to be...

smiling wide...

I'd always thought a great conversation was like finding a tango partner...

I enjoyed your take on it tho, as sometimes, it's more of a climb than a dance. *laughing*

and hugs jo jo

Enjoyed

Just as mountains are built on layers,
so is this poem, and its intent...

Excellent job, Jo, and serenity's comment
on on target, too!

When words dance like this and minds intertwine, suddenly there is the perception of such perfect harmony that we stop in awe.
Wonderful write, dear Jo.

Brilliant.

Hanging in, seems tough and then a word seems more than enough.

I agree.  Brilliant, Jo.  I had read this before, being impressed.  I was shocked to find I had not responded.  A keeper indeed!
