Kiss of rain
upon you,

the fusion of heaven
with all below,

let me wrap you,
a newborn,
swaddled in the mist
of morning's found
constellations,

lamentations of
spring affairs,
now whistle windswept
in lavendar embers,

drink me down;

in scarlet wine,

my chrysalis broken
by the knowing eyes
of your bare extremities,

sip me slowly
in a love tonic,
as your boots bolt
to december's
muddy knoll,

let me simmer
gentle and warm
to nourish the inside
your ancient soul.
