A speechless touch
from fingers

makes no misery in the connection

only,

there are no words left
to be delivered from them.

She stroked your pale cheekbones

motherly
so many times
and fallen out of love
into blinding whites
of pity
far deeper than
she did
the whites of your eyes.

Foetal you lay

once,

her lover

you'll never know
how she is scared to touch you now
like newborn

to break your dreaming lily whites
and hear you scream across the sober afternoon

without your beloved joints.
