I’ve fondled these half bricks
In tender cradle of hand that would rock
In a swing and throw of something hard
Against the glass windows I look through
And into the mass of wires

Tangled sweet sweating wires
Connecting it all to ground
    Where I fell

into fire
as a burn ends of the day into night
Or warms the scant hair between your legs
In a flicker of tongue
My flame you know by name
And have tasted it inside the walls you hold dear

As some singed star this cry
a rise of smoke along the sides of you only dissipates
On the breeze come spring
     Or the next snow
That leaves the dangling particles of glass
  Covered at last

Oh go ahead
Look in my eyes and dance against the hell inside
That splayed you onto stone just to have
One ride inside
                    Or look around…
And see how the ruins have written their own runes
Into the scraps of bone
Broken from brittle bands of rib

But don’t get between the bricks
And the arc they scribe on the empty arch of sky

To late you’d find the price of me
         Is the way words die

And I…
Return the requiem of robins to the branch
So they can sing over the pyre of leather

No longer bound by wires

I find anise in the silence of my tongue
And the bricks I horded so long
    Nothing but the ashes of
           Your sigh
as dark says... scribble notes...

many thanks to all of you for your kindness over the last year..and the indulgence in my scribblings here.... I'll be scarce again now for some while... and wanted to make sure you were all properly wished a Happy new Year.... my hope is.. that as it dawns on us all, we find the seeds of peace in our lives and in our hearts... grow with love to fill us all...

safe winds amigo
may they move your dragon ship
in a hurry circle
back to this friendly port

you are the landscape
where will the lady dawn
rest her breasts on morning tide?

I'm certain that I've replied/commented on your last couple posts...and yet, there is zero evidence.

So, I'll just say that it has been a pleasure reading you. Your slant on "things" always seems strangely familiar to me.

And yes, learning a bit on how to express it.

Better days, m'friend! Please feel free to write.

"Nothing but the ashes of
           Your sigh"

I loved it all but these lines just brought it all together. Definitely wish I'd written this! Please don't be quiet for too long...

Always, Alyssa
