You touch my hand
And the world collapses
To a tiny sphere
Where only we exist.
My vision does not extend
Beyond your eyes.
You touch my skin
And the universe explodes.
Every glistening shard of me
Revolves around you;
I am alive
Because you love me.
You touch my heart
And it expands to make
A better me.
Filled with love for you
I am omnipotent
And totally helpless...
You touch me.

Beautiful writing, Suthern.
And it's wonderful to be touched by

...and you...have touched everyone who read this. Search these forums as you may, you'll not find a more beautiful way of saying it....as much a blessing as a poem.

Words like yours could melt a monitor, you know.  Well done.

Here is a chance for a "smartypants" answer!

When the bucks are gone and the car’s waitin’ for repo.
Do you wonder if freight trains are hopped near the depot?
When the food clerk says your coupons are expired,
Do you think “Maybe food stamps come when you’re fired.”

When the tires are worn and the tranny is groaning
Do you hope that solace might come from moaning?
When your shoulders bend from burden borne
Do you wonder why life is so forlorn?

HNY  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
