* * *

I dust off cherished memories
That were left upon a shelf
I sit amongst my thoughts
And spend some time with myself

My mind feels at peace
As I gently close my eyes
Memories come flooding back
Each one a pleasant surprise

I sit amongst my garden
Immersed in tranquility
I feel content within my silence
Amongst the peace and harmony

Sweet fragrance fills my senses
As the day fades into dusk
Hints of lavender and jasmine
Old fashioned rose and musk

As the moon shines like a beacon
I'm bathed in its milky light
The stars ignite the galaxy
As the evening turns to night

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

This is so beautiful, Sue! Both, the picture and the poem.

Lovely words but dont spend too long sitting there.

The world is there for the taking.
