. . . as I did.

With a fire that sucked the breath
from my heart,
stole my soul,
lay it bare . . . for her.

With a love that filled the years since day one,
sped them up till they passed like the wind,
slowing only to give us the nights,
when the fire burned long and bright.

Uncontrollably taking our breath away.

Crazy.

Uncontrollably.

. . . still there,

Tonight.
