Wind Spirits. ( MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL).

Booming through trees,
shaking their boughs and bodies,
waking spirits sleeping below,
they spring into the gale.

Faces, fingers, arms, hands,
body, legs and feet form.
Now they fly abroad in the
invisible air, blasting outside.

Listen...they tap at the window,
they use fingers to lift and shake,
rattling their way in the wind,
while we sit wandering in our minds.

Bump at the front door,
thud, thud shakes it on it's hinges,
the winsome spirits kick with
feet as heavy as clay.

The garden strewn, with
vegetation; fences smashed,pots
broken, flowers laying dead, uprooted.
On through the night they rampaged.

Then slowly the wind died,
no more whistling, booming or
blasting, the spirits retreat back
to their sleep, until woken in the next winds.
