Ere The Roses Wilt from Our Days

Ere the roses wilt from our days,
Upon thy eyes once more I’d gaze,
In hopes I know the whole of you,
Fore whispers that I’d give tongue to.

This love we share’s a special thing,
Perfected by linguistic string,
Thou art the axis for my soul—
—North Star of my celestial pole.

O’ let mine eyes weep naught but joy,
For she whom I would vanquish Troy,
Yea Helen’s but a wannabe,
‘Tis but for thee that I’d bend knee.

I love you there’s no other truth,
For thou art my fountain of youth,
Within thy eyes love’s ever young,
And I’d not have our hymn unsung.

Gift me a kiss fore this ode’s done,
Darling thou art my beloved one.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Kevin, this is a wonderful ode to love! I especially liked this verse:
