Psalm

If I must weep
let me cry
in the tongue of angels
so that bitterness
be made beauty--
agony to harmony, within -
a choir of seraphim
so that any who will hear
have ears only for the jubilee
of Holy, Holy, Holy

May it echo
in resounding hum
quiver first
in sweet refrain
build note upon exquisite note -
sustain
and burst...in exaltation.

A psalm to sing,
to touch,
to heal.

Let us dance in glory
as it is meant to be.

Presence of a Prayer

Have you never felt it there
in the silence of aware
upon the neck - antennae hair –
profound presence of a prayer

(someone loves me)
sends me greet
oil poured, most savory,
upon my unbecoming feet

Someone’s out there.
Someone cares.
Knowledge speaks
within the night
yanking blanket of despair--

someone prayed for me tonight.

one candle burning

The cold
came in
and froze my soul
I feel it
always
feel its hold
and I wander
to the glass
and breathe
the warmth of summer's past
expelling circles
of the fog
dreaming of
a yuletide log
and all the hopes
of spark within -
the wish, the prayer,
to live again...

Solstice,
she my dampened friend--
these dark days
shan't do me in
I watch
I wait
I bow my head
knowing
loving
light instead

one candle burning
all I need
a flicker's yearning
plant of seed -
a solitary
whim of need

a spark of life
dispelling dread
the boast of birth
from something dead

celebrating light.

peace

Having seen it before
seeing it rise again
I know, I know
I can quit
writing
before
confection's
perfection.

Karen

Someone made me smile today
and feel of care just lifts away
for a moment I can feel the light
a prayer for me from out the night

Thankyou for this lovely soul of yours that brings these words....you are very special!

you always manage to warm me up inside, without even meaning to.

amazing (yes I know what you are thinking) you are.

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread.
