it is in the

          ordinary

the day to day comings and goings

the . . .

     “hello, how have you been?”

and the . . .

     “what did you do today?”

that comfort is found

the trading of stories

of . . .

what was – what is – what is dreamed of

in this solidarity is bound

perhaps . . .

it is just,
that that is what I am

            ordinary

but in my ordinary –
I have beneath me
solid ground

Your "ordinary" fits more into the category of "extraordinary".

I like people who have their feet planted firmly on terra firma ~ but their minds soar among the stars! You are such a person, Sparkling Susan.

A very warm and comforting write. Almost folksy ~ and very charming.

Love you!
Linda

The title drew me...Yes, it's in the ordinary that one finds the exceptional.

Nicely done

Susan ordinary is extraordinary. When my daughter asks me, "To read her a bed time story," or my puppies bounce around with excitement when I get home I realize...these little things are what makes life worth living. I would not trade them for a cup of gold. There is no ordinary...there is belonging...and love...and that is worth everything in mine eyes.

Thank you dear friends - and EV2 - you are so very right - the other day my daughter looked up at me and said something so ordinary and my heart just flooded over and I was amazed at what an extraordinary amount of love the human heart can hold.

Hugs all -   Susan

yep, this is more than nice.

it's ordinarily unique.
