Dark black grey blue and blood
On some Summer's Day
Lapping washing on some other shore
Gently sounding on my open jaw
Nothing moved in a languid pool
As I flicked bugs away
To the gentle warmth
Of a bugs delay

Strong waters thrash to take edges from a rock
Rock never needed there
It was always just a rock
Conditioned from history
To face currents of change
Dark and black
In holes of sea
In fabrics torn
Asunder
To see

In quiteness Sun gently admits you to it's life or death
To be hung immediately or gently
It's warmth drifts over you
Touching where you realise is becoming hot
As your flies beckon you to tangle them in thread
To entice unknown beings
You felt you knew
To a Gallery
Underwater
That spinning in fashion
You drew

To a quiteness
Drifting in nature
Drifting in thought

In a still water

Running deep

Hope you like it.   Time I cooked dinner

Dave

A nice respite from the world. Good imagery. Kind of zen-like.

Corinne

Corinne

what's for dinner?

Typical male comment is "what do you want".

I think I had got the Woks out that night.   Singapore Ho Fun.

Thanks

WOW..this poem was my favorite of yours...I loved how you explained the rock being washed by the water and weathered by different elements of nature...
