~*~
Though the apart hurts
The having of you feels so good
With your love, tender and true

The knowing that soon we will be
Back together in each others arms,
Shielding each from all of life's harms

Holding the other tightly
The wiping away of each tear
And making each fear disappear

For though we may be lonely
And about comes this blue feeling
This deep love we share, has us both reeling

With the knowing of our love
Is a treasure to tenderly behold
Having treasures so vast could never all be told

Yet, as we live we try
This feeling to world share
That still existing out there, is true love and care
~*~

You've written this so very well... for yes, the pain of being apart is intense... but more than matched by the blessings love gives a life. *S*

Ahh, Ethel, you can teach a course on writing of love.  Well done.  Ken

nice way of tapping on that old theme of absence making the heart grow fonder...
may you have more togetherness than absences
