Undressed in autumn’s breath, the treetops reach bare limbs
Outstretched to twilight seas above beseeching whims
Hoping for embrace to warm away the ice licked winds
Delicate of wrist and slender, stretched up to beg regretful sins

This down where I lay prone, considering a woman’s home
Observing seasons making reasons ending in a winter moan
Knowing of the purpose placed within too well, dispel and drone
As darkness falls its masquerade, she questions not of love on loan

Perhaps but just some semblance, or resemblance of a deeper thought
Uncertain for the time that takes my mind away where lies are bought
For now, I settle up somehow to feel the real value wrought
The yearn of firelight burn in my abode, a tender turn is sought

The sky to twinkle nightlight eye upon my upturned face
Then censored in your blanket warm in starlit eyes apprise and grace
To warm my breast in autumn’s breath, bare limbs of love enlace
And winter snows fall softly melt in shadow, worthy in its place

"As darkness falls its masquerade, she questions not of love on loan"

I read this a few times - much in and between the lines but I've chosen this one to highlight.  A lovely write!
