Santa’s elves are working, Right around the clock. Making toys and trinkets, For every tree and sock. They build, paint and hammer, To fashion homes for dolls. And make a large variety, Of colored bouncing balls. Elves are busy making, Trucks and toy drums. And wind up teddy bears, That move and sing and hums. There are nurse kits, doctor kits, And building sets too. Dolly beds and wooden sleds, There’s something there for you. Coloring books and crayons, And paint by numbers too. Chemistry sets and Legos, And scissors, paper, glue. Pick-Up-Sticks and puzzles, And games of every sort. Racing cars and choo choo tracks, And dragons that can snort. There are games for computers. There are toys for fun in snow. There are toys to play in bathtub, And Game Boys for on the go. Water guns and bubble gums, Skates and hockey sticks. Cozy Sponge Bob slippers, And lots of Disney flicks. Santa’s elves are working, Right around the clock. Making toys and trinkets, For every tree and sock. Yeppers - hear those hammers and screw drivers a workin' - all electric now you know, since the big updating took place - and they wear hard hats now since OSHA/WISHA got involved. And no pointy shoes - no, one could trip and fall and hit another elf's shoe and that could cause serious injury! Hehe - Okay, feeling silly this morning - but your poem was absolutely delightful - thanks for the smile - Hugs - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Perhaps you could lend them some of you magic talents so that they can get their jobs done faster ~ thereby giving them the opporutuntiy to have some time to relax and enjoy the festivities! Margherita ~ What caps? Are you asking if my teeth are capped? Why no, no, no! They are my own pearly whites shining bright. In fact, at times Santa has asked me to guide his sleigh some nights when Rudolph's battery is running low! I just smile ~ and up, up and away we go! With my smile streaking across the midnight sky! I have even done tooth paste promos! ~ Oh,Oh! Now I truly do feel like a silly little fairy! You probably meant you liked the little caps of the Santa Smilies! Oh, yes! We are Santa's elves, filling Santa's shelves with a toy for each girl and boy. Oh, we are Santa's elves! (I love Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's my favorite Christmas special.) Great Christmas poem!! ~sky Have a Holly Jolly Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season!! |

I enjoyed this clever work very much, but must admit it would have read better if you'd told me what I'll get! In truth, you are always a delight to read. Your signing of my Shopping depicts a small pair of eyes that could be a South Park kid(I don't know if you know the characters and plot, but it seems every episode involved a "let's kill Kenny" theme. One of my students would put that cartoon on her homework all the time. I graded her papers with great care! lol) Happy, happy Holidays, Linda and a loving New Year.
