Some would say
i'm a fool
to have loved you,

that the logistics
of such folly,
should have never
let capricious thoughts
like this arise,

to them i just reply,

i can no longer quell this fire,
than a storm retract its passion
from a cloud's insides,

that upon sensation
of your aura,
my eyes still conjugate
verbs upon the stars that rise,

and i can pen calligraphic passages,
formed on silver wisps of cirrus,
and write the lyrics burning
an infernal torch that will not die,

without dissertation or dissection
of the whyabouts, of how the heart
does cry,

(it simply is without logic)

the winter branches frame the weary sky,

within the lines of blackface onxy
i can siphon off the forming sunset,
and rearrange it
as it fades its colors,
and place them where
the souls of love eternal
come to realign,

(this place where i can conjure you up on will)

as wordlessness now takes over,

i know i will dream you
tonight,
dear lover,
from wherever distance
this heart may lie.

I can feel the ache and longing in this -
beautifully penned -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Wow! Wonderful interpretation of your longing heart.

Love and hugs, dear Michelle.

We are impoverished in trying to define love. It's cause, it's effects perhaps. We can stand still for its lightning bolt, wear the shocked face of its thunderstruck and even describe the deafened aftermath, but between seeing its brilliant-hope-covex promise and concave surrender there is only a dizzy-addiction.

Your poem of unreciprical, disrespected yearning emotes just that. Enjoyed

Explanations like this feed the passion of an eternal flame.  I believe you carry the torch quite lovely.

love is something two people do
and what others think
a good place for the "f" word

enjoyed this inky

never had second thoughts
unless they are just
replaying a good memory
