That Fragrance Was Love

In bronze I would not cast thee dear,
For tin and copper bring not cheer,
With pigments bright I’d paint thee not,
As dye doth fade in times forgot.

One day I fell into your kiss,
And now that warmth I can’t dismiss,
But how doth one depict true love,
When it’s loveliness undreamed of.

I tossed rose petals in the breeze,
Until their scent the air did seize,
Then deeply I breathed in that tang,
That fragrance was love my heart sang.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
