Someone whispers somewhere and I want to catch the echo
and plant it like a seed in the minds of you and me
in the certainty that tears of a he, she, God, Goddess,
will facilitate amazing growth and change the face of all.

But I desist; how will it look with flowers and tall trees
sprouting up and growing in the middle of brain waves
and seed planted faces producing copiously?

And that’s my perception of sowing many seeds
as I stand in my mortality listening but not hearing
and attempting to reap from new little seedlings.

Too small to grow the unknown is the garden of my brain
and my ears cannot hear over human frailty
the lexis of a strange and puzzling dynasty.

Yet there is an echo somewhere in my mind
purporting to be my own point of view
but I know it’s not so, no seeds have I sown
to grow an aware and enlightened new soul.

Listen with me please in the scope of all my dreams
under the shade of a thousand year old tree
for there from a seed of mystical imports
grows the sheer wonder and beauty of you!

The whispers are sometimes louder than
yells. This is really good writing. I enjoyed reading it.

Helen

"Yet there is an echo somewhere in my mind
purporting to be my own point of view
but I know it’s not so, no seeds have I sown
to grow an aware and enlightened new soul."

You regrow your own soul daily!  And, it is beautiful!

Thank you, dear Martie.  Yes, we grow, shed, and rejuvenate ... but into "beauty"?  Okay, yes, maybe only on the soul level.
