Peterscat

Peter’s cat had no tall fancy hat,
no safe sanctuary, no fancy feline home.

SHUSH! SHUSH!
Peter, keep that cat quiet!
Hear comes the ringing, Nazi bells are singing.
It's time to ride the train.

Hide, Peterscat, hide!

Don’t take that train ride.
Runaway, hide on a boat, ride the canal!

Hide, Peterscat, hide!

For you may have already used up 8 of your lives!

Oh, if only Anne and Peter could have had
a second chance.

I would dearly love just to touch
that child's diary...

Mouschi...the cat's name.
Thanks, ladies.
In memory, of all the lives of that house.

Or history was read twice, lived only once. A spartan write. Enjoyed

Well, maybe, or maybe not such a good gesture.
When I stood in front of Anne's house, I found myself shaking, remembering the reality of what had happened there. Near Auschwitz, I was nearly frozen with the memories. The holocaust museum in Israel was overwhelming.
Shaking my head here, knowing all I could write about was the cat named Mouschi; for to attempt to write of what was done to these humans is outside the realm of my pen, at least for now.

Thanks, Sharon

You all warm my heart each time you read and reply.

namaste, peaceful thoughts to all
hoping everyone has safe and joyous holidays with those they love
