Oh I guess in retrospect we garnered quite "the look" - me in my best dusty jeans and she in Bobby Brooks: Wide lapel with a stick-pin initialed by the letter "eff"-- dizzy in the daze of dues unrealizing genuflect understanding lesbian never bothering detail, walking with our fingers splayed together in the private hell of each other's company as if we were au naturale as if we were two girls at play as if we were two girls who knew that our time was running loose, curved in hourglass. Maybe that's why I hate sand. (Keep it off my beaches please.) God I hate the grains of it running so dry through my hands leaving me alone with grit digging ampersand...it is all of me let loose alone all the complicate of me grief and oh futility of piling hills that spread and bleed-- dragging back the best of me in undulating waves I am the shell of her in spiralling clutching tiny rocks between the fullness of myself I am her with specks of me... |

thank you all Just taking a little stroll down memory lane after I came across an old year book. I wish I had a picture of her. She truly is very beautiful, but I guess I'll just have to try to write her for you all. and Kari? last night I ate pickles and vegemite on toast. grin...I do love that stuff.
