 Picture by Josephine Wall * * * I hold a seashell to my ear And hear the pounding of the sea Such wonders of Mother Nature Remain a mystery to me Shells of every shape and size Lay scattered far and wide Before too long they'll be taken By the incoming tide Nature's canvas is ever changing Always leaving me in awe Tomorrow's scene will be different From the day before Mother Nature's artistry Is such a treasure to behold With hues of every color Ranging from blues to gold I glance across the sea in wonder And feel my spirit start to rise As the moon makes an appearance The sky fills with starry eyes |
