Memory card in the camera lives in
That black bag of painted trinkets
Shopping carts
Tossing coins like a recalling cup
Unresolved Evangelists
Trading dreams for nightmares

Silence passing through empty streets
There are no workers in the fields
Where loss comes to sit
Tugging on her breast &
Pressing against her, like childhood

I try to understand, why she is
The lives she’s sold to Good Will
In a false grip of
Decomposing slug
Her Cosmopolitan world
A world of beauty trades
Life for Death at no cost
A drug war with the world
She is the Torturer
Selling fast food denial

Dysfunctional parenthood
Feeds on the disheartened
Like hungry storm troopers
Ancestral wounds with legal aspects
Siren calls of anger
Communicator of bondage & harassment
Loss of confidence

Stains on her child’s dress
Beyond the well
Dismantled strongholds
Betrayal jaws that lock and cut
The anger she feels, but doesn’t know why?
Self-absorbstion & lies
and the Child cries
and Children cry
Secrets live in walls
History repeats itself…

My heart goes out to anyone who is or was abused, living in a dysfunctional home is tragic, but...it is “not” an excuse or license to treat others the same way and I refuse to dismiss abusive behavior on those grounds....we all have had difficult lives, at one time or another, but, it does not warrent bad behavior...lies, causing so much disruption and pain in the lives of others...using people for a free ride?

For the pain you cause, the lives you so affect, will one day be your own demise…
In the meantime, your breeding more abusive parents...because you cannot give what you don't know....

This country so lacks education...

Sorry, this is more of a vent then anything else

Yes, very corrosive behaviour that unfortunately most often repeats itself.

A very painful subject to write about but you vented your feelings very effectively.

Lee J

I support your words in everyway but any child sees and needs to learn what is right and wrong although that varies with the length of a politician "seeking election's" foot.

Kids nevertheless do know what is right and wrong after a certain age.

Good words.

Sad, but so true. There is so much of this kind of thing going on....and a lot of it is hidden from the world. Sometimes people shield the ones they love by not telling about the abuse. They think they are helping the abuser by not reporting them, but in reality, they are only hurting them.
Hugs,
