In this daydream of what if
You’re acid beads contorting my spine
Counted endlessly, colored each one---again

Obsessed by cobweb winter
Reviewing pregnant visions---I beseech the shadows
To soothe inflamed mortal skin

I needed you---this construed idea
Drying on swollen lips, inside a tattered mind
But you no longer exist, do you?

You were merely a choice to be
Or not…a buried bone that surfaces
When intimacy wears black fishnet

It’s empty this fragment, this beginning to end
Where images lie, bare, unable to whisper
Exposed by the reasons you left

I am convicted-- a mute abiding in a season
Where poetry refuses to answer and the measured
Depths of promises no longer live

This caught my interest because I don't recall seeing your name before..

the words themselves kept my interest.

Very nicely done, very emotive.

Haven't seen you around for awhile, glad you're back.

Mmm I like this a lot. This is strong. I could read this over and over again and never grow tired of the weave of your words. Bravo!
