His Saturday night warmth
Strikes Gold in the heart
Like dozens of desserts
Fattening & hopelessly mouth-watering

His words are like watching fate unfold
Driving me to a destination
With powerful lungs of burgundy air
Not one hint of background noise
Simply melodic inspiration, convincing
Like walking backward through a mirror
Of surprise, smile kisses & prima Donna evenings

Perhaps turning into something more
Like holding a ticket to L’lncoronazione di poppea
Mezzanine seating and vocal finesse
With hyper-active nuance
A tough act to follow

Perfecttion matched to sophistication
Swept under stroking emotions
Mingling with scents of a waiting plate
Not wanting to miss the nightshirt of collage
From his stairwell of fat pastel colored balloons
Exploding like a train window
His every word, growing under your fingers
