Dear, what are you thinking?
Do you ever think of me?
Are you dwelling in some city?
Or living by the sea?

Do you wonder what I'm doing?
Where I hang my hat tonight?
If it's mountain, plains, or desert...
I shall see by morning light?

Do you wonder what my thoughts are?
If you ever play a part?
Darling, you may be assured that...
You have captured my wild heart.

I am yours, yet you can't have me-
Nor, honey, can I be with you...
What a forlorn situation,
Barring love which beats so true.

But as I journey westward-
Toward the setting of the sun...
I have left my heart behind me,
With my one and only one.

Maybe fate will soon unite us,
When I've drawn my final breath.
Perhaps then we'll be together,
When our hands are joined by death.

So full of longing and missed opportunities.

Love does not die.  It is eternal.  This is a beautiful yet sad write John.  Very expressive.

believe in what your heart feels...
