Purest falling waters sting
as hearts ebb and voiceless tides
wash memories to darkened seas.

In a time of silent recall, of
sighs beyond granite edges of
anxious spires, where soar of hawks,
on hurtling wings, grasp unseen breezes
that wash the eyes of trodden souls.

A place an oboe wails in lament of sweet love's
bitter death as Pathos waning cries dwell
upon the harp’s lingering strum.

And as the blackened sun smothers on
white crescent rise...the owl shall
plea of loneliness as grey wolves
chorus a lifeless and chilling
moon shimmer on darkened eyes.

Dearest Barry...that line..held me.
